This bread was so dry....it was hard as a rock. There definitely must be something missing 'cause I followed the recipe to a T.

If you liked this recipe, did you do something different? It tastes good but is extremely dry and crumbled when cutting. Any suggestions as to how to make it moist?

I make a lot of these breads around holidays for gifts! The trick I use is I alway "freeze" the bread first! Even if I intend to take it to a affair that night, because that makes it easier to cut through the nuts ,etc! It thaws really quick.By the time You arrive for the Goodies to be put out!

i was out of a couple items, but with what i did have to substitute (i used applesauce instead of butter and brown sugar instead of white and added honey roasted peanuts and pecans since i only had about half the cranberries) it came out delicious and smells like strawberry poptarts out of the toaster!
we frosted it with a sour cream and marshmallow cream whipped together after letting it cool 20 minutes in the pan on a wire cooling rack
