Recipe easy and bread delicious
Fresh or Dried Cranberries
I have tried this recipe as written with fresh cranberries (mine were actually frozen) and also substituting a package of dried sweetened cranberries (5 to 7 oz). With the fresh cranberries, you get burst berries with a tart taste. It reminds me of a fruitcake. My family prefers the dried cranberries in this recipe, which remain mostly whole and sweet after baking. I top this with demara sugar before baking.
I have been making this for years. Saw the recipe on a bag of Ocean Spray cranberries. It is delicious and a big crowd pleaser.
The best stuff
I'm originally from the north east. I remember my grandmother making this since my childhood. It was the best cranberry bread I ever tasted. I've made it before too. I'm so glad I got this off season. I'm saving it in 2 different places. Thank you for the availability!!
Made this recipe for the first time and it was delicious. The orange juice really brings out the cranberry taste. This was my favorite Christmas recipe of 2016.
