Trouble with this pie
The recipe says to "pour" the mixture over the cranberries, but mine does not pour. It is too thick. What am I doing wrong? Tried it four times now. Same result.
Mom made this for many years an it was always a favorite. I started using it too and , this year my sister will be bring it to our friends Christmas celebration. I am sure they will love it and we will enjoy the memory of it.
It doesn't need a pie crust!
This became a great favorite in our family and although not baked recently, my sister is planning to take it as a contribution to our Christmas feast with friends.
My mother never used a crust with it as it makes up so cake-ish it was just wonderful as it was - and will be again this year
Great Recipe! I make a modification to it!
I love this recipe, but I always double the batch of batter so the pie is thicker. Otherwise it always seems to thin and not enough pie to go with the great stuff on the bottom!
Cranberry Nut Pie
Don't forget to use a bottom pie crust, for those cooks who follow a recipe exactly! I use instead of sugar an equivalant amount of sweetening power of stevia. If using the pure white powder it is 1/8th of a teaspoon. The entire family loves it, and has asked for it again this year for the holidays. It has moved my life long love of pumpkin pie to 2nd place!
