Makes 6 dozen cookies

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 5-ounce package Craisins® Original Dried Cranberries, chopped*

Directions

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the flour, a little at a time, until combined. Stir in dried cranberries.

Cookies can be made into balls or flattened. To make round cookies, roll dough into 1-inch balls. Place 1 dozen at a time on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 15 to 17 minutes. Remove from sheets; cool slightly and dust with additional powdered sugar.

To make flat cookies, form dough into 1-inch balls as directed above. Using the bottom of a glass dipped in granulated sugar, flatten balls on cookie sheet, making rounds 2-inches in diameter. Bake 12 to 14 minutes. Cool.

Makes 6 dozen cookies.

I love cranberries and couldn't wait to make these. Since I didn't need 6 dozen (the amount indicated in the recipe), I cut the ingredients by half thinking I would get 3 dozen; however, I only got 26 cookies. I even made them smaller than recommended. I chose to use the flattened method. They are fantastic! The only change I made was to add a pinch of salt and some fresh fruit zest. I will definitely make these again this week-end and am sure they will be a hit.

This recipe is quick and simple and produces the most gorgeous shortbread cookies. I decided to add vanilla essence and orange zest to the mixture and everyone absolutely loved them. Will definitely be making these again soon.

Looked for super simple recipe for large party . .... OMG! These went so fast. Added the almond extract. Then added finely chopped pistachios to 2nd batch. These are my 'go to' recipe always now!!!

These are just incredible. Added just a bit of Almond extract. The texture is so perfect. They look raw when they're done but they firm up nicely!

We added this recipe for 2015 on a trial basis. People loved them and came back requesting more. It's a keeper! So easy to make and great tasting. Chopped the cranberries in the food processor ......... but don't process too long!
