I also added one 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and a 1/2 cup of m&ms for extra color. We love them!

Not being a fan of white chocolate I was always going to use dark chocolate chunks instead. As these are made with brown sugar, not white sugar, a softer cookie is always going to be the outcome. There is a lot to be said for a good recipe that will still turn out well if you change it to suit your tastes. For the comments that say they don't like the softer cookie, use white sugar, and you ought to get a crispier result. I like my cookies jam packed full of bits, so next time I will use more craisins, and chocolate chunks. I love the suggestion of cinnamon, I think I will try that too. Thanks Ocean Spray, my family enjoyed these very much.
I made these cookies but used dark chocolate instead of white. Sent some with my husband when he went to work, and said he was told by everyone that they "are the bomb" and didn't last too long before they got gobbled up!!
Very good w dark chocolate
This is a very good cookie recipe. I substituted dark chocolate chips for the white chocolate. i also did a mix of raisins and cranbeerries. I would make this again.
