Beautiful and Delicious for the Holidays!
I made these for my child relatives during their holiday school recital. My nephews and their parents enjoyed them. Of course I did try them myself, just to be sure. Luckily, these make enough that you can be generous with your gift and keep 4 or 6 for yourself. I rolled up the dough, chilled it, and sliced it with a knife to portion the cookies. They didn't expand too much, so I would only roll the dough as small as you want the cookies to be. I think mine were about 1.3 inches in diameter. They really are beautiful and the cranberries infused in cherry juice make them holiday relevant. The cherry juice makes a difference and brightens the flavor: more tart and more sweet, too.
Need more flour
First sheets the cookies spread too much and were flat. Added flour and they were better, but all stuck to the pan, even greased. I think a tsp of salt added would make them better.
These cookies are easy enough for a novice baker to make successfully. They are moist, chewy and delicious. My family always asks for "2 batches please Mom".
I made these for my husband's coworker's last year. For a twist, I drizzled with melted chocolate. They were gone in minutes and were at the top of the request list for this year!
Question: Sorry, I know this is for rating.
Will these cookies freeze well? I can only make them at this time, if they can be frozen. They sound great.
