Makes 30 truffles


9 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 cup Ocean Spray® Jellied Cranberry Sauce
2 tablespoons heavy cream
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 1/2 tablespoons powdered sugar


Place chocolate, cranberry sauce and heavy cream in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat until sauce is smooth, whisking frequently. Remove from heat and pour into a glass or plastic bowl. Cover with plastic wrap. Let sit at room temperature to thicken.

Combine cocoa and 1 1/2 tablespoons powdered sugar on a small plate. Scoop out a rounded teaspoonful of chocolate mixture. Roll in cocoa, coating thoroughly. Dust hands with powdered sugar. Roll truffle in hands to form a 1-inch ball. Continue forming truffles with remaining chocolate mixture.

Makes 30 truffles.

Recipe is yummy but needs work

I made mine using kroger brand chocolate. Should have used a higher quality. Also, mine never hardened on the counter. Had to put it in the fridge for a few hours so that it was firm enough to roll. Like others have said, it never got smooth in the pan. But, by golly, they were tasty! Very rich, though.

more cranberries please

when i was on net looked up ''cranberry truffles'' and i thought this site looked interesting because it said cranberry and chocolate truffles i was sad to find there was not much sigh of cranberries. so sorry.

Never firmed up

2 Stars for not being able to form truffles due to soft consistency (but tastes delicious!). I used the "batter" to make the Outrageous Chocolate Cranberry Fudge Cake found on this website: 2 cups truffle mixture, 2 eggs, 2/3 cup flour, 1/2 tsp baking soda, bake as directed in recipe. Tasted like fudgy brownies and didn't have to "waste" the mixture!

A few tips

I make them is in a square dish, lined with wax paper, and chilled in the fridge. Sprinkle powdered sugar into foil baking cups. Put a cut truffle square in each. Remember that 9 oz of choc. chips is 1.5 cups of chips.



At the end of the day, you deserve to unwind. Sit back with the taste that takes you away!
