Makes approximately 2 1/2 dozen cookies

Ingredients

2/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 6-ounce package Ocean Spray® Craisins® Original Dried Cranberries
2/3 cup white or semi-sweet chocolate chunks or chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 375ºF.

Using an electric mixer, beat butter or margarine and sugar together in a medium mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs, mixing well. Combine oats, flour, baking soda and salt in a separate mixing bowl. Add to butter mixture in several additions, mixing well after each addition. Stir in dried cranberries and chocolate chunks.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire rack.

At the end of the school year, one request from my students, "Please make the Craisins Cookies." The lesson requires students to triple the ingredient measurements, and write the directions sequentially as I demonstrate making and baking the cookies. The students' work samples are most perfect with correct measurements, spelling and punctuation!

Go to top favorite, easy to make and oh so yummy. I’ve even changed it and use white sugar when I don’t have brown sugar in the pantry. Different texture but still yummy. My son’s most requested cookie.

I make these cookies all the time... they're simple. Great for special occasions or just at home with the kids. Tip for those who are saying they're too dry: add a few extra tablespoons of butter (using real butter is always my preference) and bake for 8 minutes instead of 10-12
