1.5 ounces Bombay Sapphire East1 ounce Plymouth Sloe Gin3/4 ounce Alvear "Montilla" Sherry2 ounces apple-cranberry compote (separate directions below)3/4 ounce lemon juice3 ounces Ocean Spray® Sparkling Cranberry Juice DrinkApple slices, garnishAPPLE-CRANBERRY COMPOTE2 Granny Smith green apples1 cup Ocean Spray® Cranberries1 cup sugar1 cup apple cider2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice1 teaspoon allspice2 cinnamon sticks6 cloves
Directions for apple-cranberry compote: Peel and core apples. Add all ingredients to a medium stock pot and cook until cranberries pop and apples soften and break down (about 20 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool, then place into a blender and puree. Pour mixture into a china cap and strain to remove the excess spices and large chunks. Reserve for cocktail.Directions for cocktail:In a large shaker filled with ice, add all ingredients in order, except for the sparkling cranberry juice. Shake hard and strain into pitcher with ice.
