  • Smoked Turkey and Cranberry Gourmet Pizza

Ingredients:

1 16-ounce pre-cooked Italian bread shell
1 14-ounce can Ocean Spray® Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce
3/4 cup sliced green onion, white and green parts
1 8-ounce package shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/4 pound smoked deli-turkey, cut into thin strips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375ºF. Place bread shell on an ungreased baking pan.

Spread cranberry sauce evenly over bread shell. Sprinkle with green onion and cheese. Top with turkey.

Bake for 10 minutes or until heated through and cheese has melted. Makes 1 large pizza.

Stars You had me at cranberry and turkey

So, I saw this recipe pop up on my FB page, usually I just kinda gloss over those recipes, to be honest. But, I had to look when I saw cranberry AND turkey! Easy to make (I used a refrigerated roll-out pizza dough), quick to cook, and super-tasty!

This has an excellent flavor. The cranberry sauce goes surprising well with the cheese. I used a pre-made pizza crust and cooked according to the packages directions (10 minutes at 475 degrees). I did hear that it could have been hotter so next time I'll try cooking it for 15 minutes. I want to emphasize that the flavor was excellent!
