I made this recipe but cut sugar to 3/4 & I added fresh pomegranate and fresh pineapples this year. Last year I used fresh cutties and mango... Very delicious!
All purpose sauce and topping!
like Paul from MA did, I boil the cranberries in apple cider. I add frozen strawberries as they cook. I sweeten w/sugar to taste. Everyone --both young and old --love it by itself and as a topping on ice cream or toast! Good year round!
For the one cup of water I add 3/4 peach schnapps to 1/4 water after the popping is done and off the stove add frozen sliced peaches. For those that like and can eat nuts I will add about 1/2 cup of fine chopped walnuts to this.
Be sure not to cook the peaches...
