my oldest child started making this about 5 years ago, when she was 12, she had no real experience with cooking but started a family tradition. It is now her 'job' to make the cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving and Christmas, and any other time.

I love this better than the canned variety. Like some of the other reviews I added OJ instead of water. Last year I used the Juicy Juice Orange Tangerine and my family loved it! We buy cranberries and freeze them so we can have this year round!!

This cranberry sauce is so easy to make and tastes incredible, plus you can change it to suit your tastes and make it even better! I use orange juice instead of water, sucralose instead of regular sugar and I add cinnamon.

This recipe is easy, no fail and delicious year-round. If you like it a little more tart (which my family does), I reduce the sugar from 1 cup to 2/3 cup.
Has anyone tried using a sugar substitute?

Very good and if you use 2 Tablespoons liquid sugar substutute to equal one cup of sugar you have a sugar free version for low carb or diatetic diets.
