OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

  1. DESCRIPTION OF SWEEPSTAKES: One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded. The Grand Prize winner will receive a trip for two (2) to a WNBA Finals Game (location and date are yet to be determined) where you may be one (1) of two (2) winners of fourteen (14) to be randomly selected as a finalist to participate in the $1,000,000 Shootout contest. (ARV $2,000)

  2. HOW TO ENTER: Enter on-line at oceanspray.com beginning June 1, 2007 or on a 3" x 5" blank card by printing your name, age, address, city, state, zip code, day and evening phone numbers and mail to Ocean Spray $1,000,000 Shootout, 10555 Newkirk Street, Dallas, Texas 75220. All entries must be received by midnight on July 31, 2007. No mechanically reproduced entries permitted. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, illegible or postage due entries. Limit one (1) entry per person/per email address.

  3. ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal U.S residents who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Void where prohibited by law. Employees, agents, successors, and assignees of Ocean Spray, the Women's National Basketball Association and its member teams, WNBA Enterprises LLC, and NBA Properties, Inc, (the "WNBA Entities") and their advertising agencies and promotional companies involved in this Promotion, as well as family and household members of same, shall be ineligible to participate in the Promotion and shall be ineligible for any prize covered herein. The following persons are also ineligible to participate: (1) Current or former professional or semi-professional basketball players or coaches. (2) Current or former high school or collegiate basketball players or coaches who have played or coached at that level in the past five (5) years. (Includes Freshmen, Junior Varsity, and Varsity for both men and women). The parties acknowledge that sponsors are not liable for reimbursement of any prizes otherwise payable to Promotion contestants who are in violation of this provision.

  4. RANDOM DRAWING: Contestants for the Ocean Spray $1,000,000 Shootout" will be selected in a random drawing to be held on or about August 1, 2007 from among all eligible entries received by an independent judging agency. Decisions of judges are final and binding. Contestants will be notified either via phone, e-mail or postal mail on or about August 15, 2007. Odds of being selected depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.

  5. GRAND PRIZE: $1,000,000 SHOOTOUT: The fourteen (14) contestants selected (one contestant from each participating market and one contestant from on line entries) will attend a 2007 WNBA Finals Game. Within 24 hours of game time, two (2) Contestants will be selected in a random drawing from among the fourteen (14) to participate in the $1,000,000 Shootout. At the designated game, the two contestants will have exactly twenty-four (24) seconds to attempt to successfully make the four (4) shots specified below using an WNBA or NCAA-regulation basketball (or one of equivalent specifications) through the WNBA or NCAA-regulation basketball hoop of the target goal. Within the time limits specified, each Contestant will have as many opportunities as necessary at each of the first three shot locations to make the shot, but only one attempt is allowed for the half-court shot. An attempt has occurred when the basketball has been released by the Contestant. Each Contestant must retrieve his/her own rebounds. The Contestant will not be permitted any practice, warm-up, or qualifying shots, nor will any one Contestant be selected to participate on more than one occasion. The Contestant must start the sequence from directly under the same basket at which the shots will be attempted, and all shots must be completed within twenty-four (24) seconds. The Contestant must attempt the following sequence of shots in the order specified from behind the demarcation line of the specified distance (with the exception of the lay-up shot wherein the demarcation line and other distance restrictions do not apply) and all attempts must be at the same basket (demarcation line measured from the backboard of the target goal).

    2. Free Throw: 15 Feet
    3. Top of Key: 19 Feet, 9 Inches
    4. Half Court: 43 Feet
    In the event a contestant successfully completes all four (4) shots, he/she will win $1 Million* subject to eligibility and verification.

  6. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: Winner may forfeit prize if Sponsor is unable to contact him or her on first attempted notification. In such event, the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize for an item of equal or greater value in the event an offered prize becomes unavailable for any reason. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these official rules and by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes. Potential Grand Prize winner must sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release and where legally permissible a Publicity Release within 7 days following the date of first attempted notification. Failure to comply with this deadline may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner. Winner is responsible for any items not specifically mentioned as part of the prize. Winner is responsible to any applicable taxes. In the event the specified game is cancelled or postponed for any reason, Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to hold the Shootout event at a future time in a location designated by Sponsor. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Sponsor, the WNBA Entities and their agencies to use winner's name and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. By entering the sweepstakes and by accepting prize, entrants and winner agrees to hold Sponsor, the WNBA Entities, their respective directors, officers, employees and assigns harmless for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused by participation in the Sweepstakes or use of the prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prize.

  7. LIABILITY LIMITATIONS: Releasees are not responsible for (a) technical, electronic, cash register, scan equipment, telephone, hardware, software or network, computer or data transmission errors, malfunctions or difficulties of any kind, or programming errors or failures, or (b) for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, incorrectly addressed, non-delivered, postage-due or misdirected mail or entries, or (c) for any human or other error which may occur in the processing of entries, or the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry or other information, or the failure to capture, or loss of, any such information, or (d) any condition caused by events that may cause the promotion to be disrupted or corrupted. In no event will Releasees be responsible or liable for any damages or losses of any kind, whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive or other damages. Sponsors reserve the right in Sponsors sole discretion to cancel, modify or suspend the promotion or any portion thereof should computer hardware or software malfunctions (such as but not limited to virus, bugs, worms, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures) or any other causes corrupt the administration, security, or submission of entries, and select the winners from entries received prior to the action taken or in such other manner as deemed fair and appropriate by the Sponsors.
