2009 Ultimate Cranberry Recipe Contest
Thank you to all who entered our Third Annual Ultimate Cranberry Recipe Contest, we received thousands of delicious, diverse, and creative cranberry creations. We’re pleased to announce this year’s home cook winner is Patrice Hurd from Bemidji, MN with her Cranberry Bacon Brunch Scones with Cranberry Pecan Cream Cheese. 2009 Ocean Spray Tailgating Recipe Contest
On October 15th, our three Tailgating Recipe Contest finalists faced off at Patriot Place in Foxborough, Mass. Chef Ming Tsai, host of “Simply Ming” and chef/owner of the award-winning Blue Ginger, and Pro Football Hall of Famer John Hannah judged the recipes.
The judges chose Katie Pelczar of Dedham, MA with her Grilled Bacon Apple Bites with Chunky Cranberry Spread as the winner. Click here to see her recipe.

Ocean Spray’s Tailgate Recipe contest was the backdrop for a Tailgating segment on NECN’s TV Diner series. The segment, slated to air Sunday, October 24th at 10:00 a.m. & 7:00 p.m. EST on NECN, features tailgating fare with a twist of fall’s favorite ingredient, the cranberry. Along with our contest finalists, Celebrity Chef Ming Tsai shares his tailgating favorites, including his Blue Ginger Cranberry Chicken Wings and Cranberry-Ginger-Soju Fizz cocktail. And what would a tailgate party be without Ultimate Party Meatballs, now a favorite of Billy Costa’s.
