Perfect Jellied Sauce “Log”

Many Thanksgiving celebrations would not be the same with out that unmistakable “log” of Ocean Spray® Jellied Cranberry Sauce. In fact, Americans consume 5,062,500 gallons of jellied cranberry sauce every holiday season. Here's how to get that perfect jiggle.

Open...

Remove the can's top lid entirely using a hand-held or automatic can opener.

Sweep...

Hold the can in one hand as shown. Insert a flat knife between the cranberry log and the can and sweep carefully around the inside of the can several times.

Shake...

Invert the can over your serving platter, and give the can a gentle shake or two. The cranberry log should slip easily onto the platter. If necessary, loosen it a little more with the flat knife.

Serve!

Serve log with a knife for slicing - a butter knife works great. For an attractive presentation, cut several slices about 1/2 inch thick from the end of the log, and garnish with mint leaves or fresh fruit as shown. Now your holiday table is complete.
