1 1/4 cups Ocean Spray® Fresh or Frozen Cranberries

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup chopped walnuts

1 egg

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup flour

1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted

Vanilla ice cream, optional


Preheat oven to 325ºF. Grease a 9-inch pie plate.

Layer cranberries on bottom of pie plate. Sprinkle with brown sugar and nuts. Beat egg in a medium mixing bowl until thick. Gradually add sugar, beating until thoroughly blended. Stir in flour and melted butter; blend well. Pour over cranberries.

Bake 45 minutes. Cut into wedges. Serve with ice cream. Makes 6 servings.

Wonderful pie

I have made this, with and without a pie crust, for 15 years with great reviews. You can mix the cranberries with blueberries, or apples to create variations. I always do cranberry at the holidays, but they aren't always easy to get!

I have made this recipe for over 30 yrs . It's my favorite Pie . I use a pie crust on the bottom of it though. Not the Holidays with out it !!!!
