So fruity delicious!

Wendy from Claremont, CA 08/02/2018 at 09:36 PM

I hoard cranberries in my freezer and they generally stretch to about August and then I start watching for them in the market so I can stock up again. I usually make cooked cranberry sauce to have with turkey, cream cheese sandwiches, but when I tried this recipe I discovered that I like to eat it straight out of a dish as a fruit dessert. Sooooo good and juicy. The Craisins are a favorite also! But I am going to have to add this into my annual stock up so I can make fresh cranberry sauce really often. I love Ocean Spray products ESPECIALLY cranberries.

Thanksgiving Year Round

I've been making this since a child at 12, now 70. I do add chopped walnuts to mine. A plus for it, IT'S GLUTEN FREE. I have CELIAC DISEASE. Puffed pastry, cream cheese, walnuts. Cut pastry in 4x4 square, spread cream cheese on, then cranberry relish. Fold over pastry. 400° for 15 minutes. Yummy

FRESH CRANBERRY ORANGE RELISH

I took it for granted that the recipe would always appear on the package of fresh cranberries--it didn't! Learned my lesson! WRITE IT DOWN IN MY PERSONAL COOKBOOK FOR FUTURE REFERENCE!! This version is not so terribly sweet as some cranberry sauces are. Love it!

Mother was diabetic.

Richard from Durango, CO 01/06/2018 at 04:53 PM

My mother made this recipe every holiday for years. When she became diabetic, she'd leave out the sugar and add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of orange juice. The result isn't as sweet as some folks want, but she could eat it.
