Cranberry Apple Butter
Ingredients
- Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce2 14-ounce cans
- Peeled, chopped apples3 cups
- Brown sugar1/2 cup
- Cinnamon1 teaspoon
- Ginger1/2 teaspoon
- Nutmeg1/2 teaspoon
Steps
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Cook on low heat for 1 1/2 hours or until thick, stirring occasionally. Push through a wire mesh strainer or put through a food mill. Store in a tightly covered non-metal container. Serve with bagels, muffins or breads. Makes 2 1/2 cups.
