  • Sloe gin1 ounce
  • Sherry3/4 ounce
  • Apple-cranberry compote2 ounces
  • Lemon juice3/4 ounce
  • Sparkling Cranberry3 ounces
  • Apple slices
  • Apple-cranberry compote
  • Granny smith green apples2
  • Fresh Cranberries1 cup
  • Sugar1 cup
  • Apple cider1 cup
  • Fresh lemon juice2 tablespoons
  • Allspice1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon sticks2
  • Cloves6

Directions for apple-cranberry compote: Peel and core apples. Add all ingredients to a medium stock pot and cook until cranberries pop and apples soften and break down (about 20 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool, then place into a blender and puree. Pour mixture into a china cap and strain to remove the excess spices and large chunks. Reserve for cocktail. Directions for cocktail: In a large shaker filled with ice, add all ingredients in order, except for the sparkling cranberry juice. Shake hard and strain into pitcher with ice.
